The Canterbury Football Club would like to invite all of the ladies that support the club to participate in “Ladies Day” 2013.
The event will take place on the round 7 game against Silvan, Saturday May 25th from 12.30pm
For just $30 the ladies can enjoy a chicken and champagne luncheon, as well as an afternoon of games and activities including raffles throughout the day and a quiz on the players.
The first home game for season 2013 is this Saturday, 20th April, against Forest Hill and is also this years Local Residents and Family day. The committee of the Canterbury Football Club would like to encourage everyone to invite their family and any members of the local community down to the game to get to know each other and the people at the club. The awards from the days play will be presented at 6.30pm, the more there the merrier, look how happy the family of cobras look in the picture.
The Canterbury Football Club in 2013 is proud to announce an exciting new initiative, a series of four business lunches on Friday’s.
The luncheons will present a notable guest speaker with a fully catered, two course quality meal.
The first of the lunches is on Friday March 22nd from 12pm, at the Canterbury Sports Ground, and the first guest speaker is… TERRY DANIHER – AFL Hall of famer and the eldest of the famous AFL family.

The club will be holding a Club Culture session on Wednesday 20th February at the Harp of Erin Hotel, Kew.
It’s an important night for the club and is compulsory that all players attend. The night will kick off at 6pm with dinner following shortly afterwards, leading into a culture and values session starting at 7pm. Topics of discussion will include the commitment of each and every player and what it will mean to represent the Canterbury Football Club on and off the field in season 2013.
Past players and supporters are more than welcome, lets all get behind Ange and the club and make sure everyone gets down there.
As of Monday 4th February, Monday night training will be held at Cooper Reserve, Camberwell (map below), starting at 6pm. Wednesday nights will continue at Anderson Park.
Also, on Wendesday 20th February, there will be a club culture session at the Harp of Erin, Kew, beginning at 6pm. It is a compulsory session for all players, and supporters are more than welcome.
We need you! Whatever your interest or time commitment we have a role for you, whether it be training nights only, home games only or more you tell us and we will find a role such as canteen helper, trainers, scoreboard attendants, linemarkers, goal umpires or water boys. Help you local club return to its glory days and play a part in your local community in one of the oldest clubs in Australia and one of the oldest institutions in Canterbury. Pre-season training for 2013 will resume on Monday 28th January. Monday nights the team will meet at Canterbury at 6pm, while training on Wednesday nights will take place at Anderson Park, East Hawthorn (map below), at 6pm sharp.
All players are expected to attend, and as always, any new players are more than welcome. Looking forward to a successful 2013!
The Canterbury Football club is excited to announce the appointment of new senior coach Angelo Lamanna for season 2013. Angelo comes to Canterbury with First Division Coaching experience and is looking forward to the challenge of improving the clubs fortunes. A “Meet the coach” evening will be held at the club rooms on Friday November 9th, starting at 7:00pm.
The club has also appointed a new President in Maurie Carroll who is a life member of the club and former President, who has introduced a motto for season 2013 of “We Mean Business” and has brought on a number of new people to the club with Football and Business experience.
The club always welcomes new players, any interested players should contact our new Director of Football, Mick Harper on 0410 629 442. Current and future players should note that pre-season will commence on Wednesday 14th November at 6pm.
The 2012 Canterbury Football Club Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 15th October at 7:30pm in the Jean Green room at Canterbury Sports Ground. All players, members and supporters of the club are welcome and encouraged to attend, this is where a successful 2013 season, both on and off the field, begins.
